Hi, have checked out the link and they are very informative! Thanks!Sorry i don't want to confuse anyone. But all can be singular or plural based on its usage.
refer to website Rule 9 which clearly highlights when All is singular or when it is plural.
http://www.grammarbook.com/grammar/subjectVerbAgree.asp
What we need to understand is in what context \"ALL\" is used.
However, a bit puzzled about the following:
He is one of the men who does/do the work.
The word in front of who is men, which is plural. Therefore, use the plural verb do
I thought the subject is \"he\"? So should use singular?
Please advise. -

\"All is fine.\" --> \"All\" is this case is UNCOUNTABLE. Therefore we use singular form.mother777, thanks for your feedback.
I think generically, when the sentence doesn't have a noun, then we should probably stick to \"All is fine\".
But if it will be plural when the sentence is \"All the people are fine\" because now there is a plural noun.
\"All the people are fine.\" --> \"All\" in this case refers to people, which are COUNTABLE. Therefore we use plural form.
Using the example from Rule 9 of this website: http://www.grammarbook.com/grammar/subjectVerbAgree.asp
All of the pie is gone. --> The parts of the pie (only 1 pie mentioned) are uncountable unless they mention 'slices'.
All the slices of pie are gone. --> Slices of pie can be counted.
All of the pies are gone. --> The PIES (many pies) can be counted (COUNTABLE). So we use the plural form 'are'.
I think we need to teach our children that the rules are general rules. We need to learn to accept exceptions or apply another rule or a few rules together.
Long term, children will remember exceptions based on EXPOSURE. Therefore, a lot of reading and highlighting of such exceptions will help your child to understand and remember better in the long run.

(2) penmenship: will this be based on those words that have been written before? or based on all the vocab and spelling words?
(3) grammar MCQ: do i need to buy assessment books from popular to revise? my kid got no english textbook.
(4) maths topical test - no. 1 to 10/ no. bonds: will this be similar to my pals are here workbook questions?
(5) maths performance tasks - hands on activity - no. 1 to 10/ no. bonds: how does the test look like? any video links?
(6) maths topical test - addition within 10/ subtraction within 10: will this be similar to my pals are here workbook questions?
