True about getting her interested first:)

Have started playing ‘who has more’ and ‘how many more’ games with her. Also observed that she is developing a block towards large 2 and 3 digit numbers. She is quick to figure who has more…but gives up when she can’t count on her fingers to workout the answer.
Shall stop looking at her text books and e-Math assignments for the time being and work on motivation and interest.
Any ideas on stage-appropriate games would be appreciated:))

You may want to try this, though the price is slightly high...

I have attended similar workshop (not this one) before, and i think they give quite a good general overview of dyscalculia , and introduce you to some tools and methods to help children who are weak at Maths.

games is surely the 1st & foremost to cultivate interest

However the type and adaption would be most challenging which I would be grateful to hear from experiences

Get a good dyslexia dyscalculia tutor. My daughter had severe problems with maths (, every number is upside down, )but he has managed to raise my child grades from a disappointing 25 marks to 50 marks. Not fantastic but at least this tutor of mine is like a bulldog. He wont give up until see passes. The clue is to get a good tutor with dyslcalculia background. Best of luck. Email me if you need more advice or support. Glad to help any parents if I can [email protected]

Anyone here with kids diagnosed with Dyscalculia? Where to do assessment and what kind of help will be given by the school?
                Thanks.

Bumping up this subject? Any advice for dyscalculia kids? My son is P3 and struggles with math. Highly suspect he has dyscalculia. Thank you!

Hi buzz_offz, would strongly suggest sending him for the math programme at the DAS. But do consider getting him tested for it first. 🙂
