U still have 1 year to think...Hi - i am thinking of ACS (Junior) and we are prepared to move and stay within 1km from the school....if we were to decide on Kong Hwa, we also have to move as I dont want the kids to travel too much for their schooling everyday...
Still thinking.... :scratchhead:
-
safer to go back yr alma mater, Kong Hwa.
at same time find out what are the key niche CCAs that both ACS desire, groom your son well for next 2 yrs starting from K1 now, facilitate him make a transfer easier next time. Kong Hwa is SAP school. stronger Chinese provides good early foundation. -
has anyone received any reply from St Nicholas for their PV application?

Whew! Lucky ncps pv reopens. Thanks eu-ern!janjanmum - ncps pv is open. it is correct. they re-open for 2007 born till Mar. Seems like selection in Apr. If u stay within 1km, still worthwhile to do. If you stay 1-2km, do have contingency plan. If u stay more than 2km like me, u may wan to reassess your plan.
Seems like Sengkang going to have two new primary schools with first intake in 2013. -

Thanks so much for your assistance! :thankyou:tjkok:
Am considering schools around Queenstown / Bukit Merah area as I'll be moving to Dawson Estate sometime in 2014. Any good recommendations? I have seen pretty good feedback on Zhangde Primary School, but in terms of distance, Queenstown Primary School will be the nearest (< 1km) , Gan Eng Seng, New Town & Zhangde will fall between the 1-2km radius.
For GESPS, you may like to start reading from Page 33 of the Bukit Merah thread for more information:

As for Queenstown Pri, the Queenstown Pri's Parents Networking Group will give you an idea:

If you are very keen about Zhangde and if your schedule allows you, perhaps joining as PV for the school may be the best way out.
However, after much debate with my husband, we are likely to do PV in Fairfield Methodist Primary School instead, cos' my husband is more keen on my DD pursuing her education there. If we are unable to get in by Phase 2B
, then we will try for Zhangde or Queenstown Primary School at Phase 2C instead

Likely??

If you have not submitted your PV application yet, then you are likely too late already! Better call the school and check whether they are still accepting PV appication...pronto! -
Anyone planning to do PV for more than one school? I've shortlisted 3 schools but so far only 2 replied. ds was born in 2007 and dd 2011. make more sense to go for a co-ed primary but the ones dh prefers happened to be boys :scratchhead:
-
Oops  ... didn't realise that we must call the school, cos' their school website still stated applications were open till May 2012 for children born in 2007. I have already filled up the form and crafted a proposal already, so now it's just a matter of sending out the documents, and wait to see if we are accepted as PVs :nailbite: . Think I'll the call the school as well to check if they can still accept PVs ...

Since you have a boy and girl, I think going to co-ed would be better, at least your DD will be able to go to the same primary school with her elder brother under Phase 1
