Club 2006 Kids

KS parents:
For statutory declaration, your kids will be ballot or register under 1-2km even though your in-law might be just living within 1km from your school of choice...
Welcome welcome Gerbera365gerbera365:
my DD born in 2006, stay in SK.
does anyone know SKPS PSLE passing rate ?
How do we check the PSLE passing rate & percentage of students going into express stream for individual school ?
I am still undecided which school to register my DD.
Is it better to put her in BASC or in in-law's house ?
If we make a statutory declaration that my in-law will be looking after her and eventually didn't manage to get in the school of choice in that area can we then make a U-turn and register her in a school near our house ?
Does SKPS have their own website? Usually they will post it within their website of PSLE results.
I believe you can do a U-turn and declare staying back at your place for registeration near your house. Afterall, subject to which phase you registering.
I am staying in Punggol, nearby you.
And you can only make declaration during the P1 registration period...
If you are under phase 2C ( like me )... you can register your first choice of school first and then if on the 3rd day, you find that your choice of school is hard to get, you can withdraw from it and register in your second choice of school... that would means you and your DH must be in stand by mode.. one to withdraw and one to submit... ( but remember that you have to get your statutory declaration done on the period of P1 registration, so it might be a bit tricky on your part )...
good luck to you and to me
Hope we all can get the school of our choice.... another 4 months to go lor

@coolmum552 : Ive read that before..n couldnt agree more...but alas we are often caught up in this fast-paced lifestyle..I go slow everynow and then and then suddenly panic sets in! Im often told by my DDs teacher as to how shes weak in certain areas, I always remind myself not to get overly stressed about it...she will get there when she gets there! all I want for her is to be happy! Same for my other two elder boys!

Hi LadyInBlack,
I totally agree with you. So long we the parents do our part to guide them, be with them when they need us, to shower them with unconditional love, then other things don't matter that much anymore. Happiness and good health are the most important thing isn't it? -
Good morning mummies!
I found a thread discussing about co-sleeping,
As parents, we want to always be there for our children. But in real life we can't be. By giving our children the message that they always need a parent, we set up a cycle that a parent cannot and should not live up to. One of the things we must teach our children is not just how to do things, but how to do things on their own. A young child does need his parents for eating, for clothing, for transportation and all basic needs. The one thing he does not need his parents for is sleeping. By allowing children to sleep on their own from a young age, we teach children something that is essential for growth - you are an individual - there are things you can do without a parent.
