There are some things that the kids will simply stop doing after a certain age. Eg. Holding your hand, giving you that big hug and kiss in public, telling you much they love you.....don't we all miss that. Likewise for sleeping with parents. My 11 yr old and 7 yr old are both still sleeping with us. My room looks like a refugee camp! So many pillows, blankets, blosters, mattress all stacked on my bed in the day. Their room is not used unless someone falls sick!

So true. My kids (11&12) still sleep in the same room as us, on their own bed tho.....simply because we refused to let them on our bed. We only allow that when they are sick. But every night, both still request that we 'lie' down with them for 5-10mins during their sleep time. And it's true, after a certain age, they stop certain actions....eg. DS refused to hug and kiss goodbye at school tho he is still very lovey/dovey at home.

        LOL - couldn't be bothered. Our 3 older kids are on a double-decker with a pull-out.

Phankao! Don't they fight over who sleeps at the top deck?!!!!

Nope. Eldest on top. Youngest on the floor

No. Since Pri 1, told him to sleep by himself. Converted the guest room to his personal room.

Yes, DD does and sheโ€™s already 3 coming to 4. I am waiting for the day to drive her out. Scheming to tempt her with nice bed fame and princess mattress cover. Hehe. Must get down to my shopping. ๐Ÿ˜œ

DD saw her neighbor with own room, envious & ask for her own room, wanted to shift out of my room & not share with older bro. I repainted the room into white & pink, deco with flower stickers, repolished the parquet etc. When all ready, she changed her mind. :spank:
Till now, all 4 of us still in the master room together. ๐Ÿ˜‚

My 12 yo and 6 yo has been sleep in their individual room for about 2 yrs le. Before that they sleep together, but when the younger one got chix pox I got the older one to sleep in the guest room, since then, he ask to convert the guess room to his room and they have been sleeping on their own. The younger one will sometime ask to sleep with us but we usually say no, only occasionally or when I am out of town.

I think we treasure the alone (just 2 of us) time as only after the kids are asleep we can spent quiet moments together.
