Haiz, meaning to say we have to be kept in suspense for another day and , my god! Another 24 hours!!!watmekiasu:
My dd just reached home. GEP results not out yet.
:nailbite:
How am I supposed to pass the time...grrrr :stupid: -
rosicky:
I understand.anxiously waiting for the gep result for my ds1, kinda of confuse on my own expectations. btw... both of us parents dun even know what is gep until ds1 bring back the letter to go for the 2nd round. haha, guess we are those bochap parents
worried if he might not be able to cope if he get selected, as he is average in his languages and science. he is better in maths, but not exceptional. we are already surprised he made it for the second round.
on the other hand, i am also hopeful that he get selected. which means that his 2 younger siblings, ds2 and dd3, will be able to go to the same gep school.
guess we will be happy for him in any case, selected or not selected. :celebrate:
As parents we are always worrying about the many \"what ifs\"
Same here, much as I hope my son gets in GEP, I am also worried about the stress he has to face if he gets in.
In your case, it will be good if your son gets in to a GEP school, that means your other children can go to the same school
Come, let's hold hands and count down together for the results ... pray pray pray :xedfingers: -

So did your son practics the Maths Olympiad book sold at Popular before the selection test?watmekiasu:
Someone posted some of the 2009 GEP Maths questions, advertising his services. Looking at those questions, a parent who wants to prepare their child would do well to purchase and practice on the Math Olympics book sold at Popular.
Ya, just saw the post by a Kelvin Ong.
You are right, the Maths Olympiad book should come in handy.
watmekiasu, what about your dd? -
MdmKS:
No.[

I bought the book 2 days before the Math paper, took a look and eek! :!: I spent that night trying to figure out some of the questions but gave up. Math is not my forte. That's why you'll never see me contribute any opinion or solutions in the Math thread.

Yeap! My girl also did not receive the yellow envelope todayβ¦
If the result is out on 31 Oct 09β¦ (someone mentioned that earlier), i supposed that they are still trying to get it sorted/printed outβ¦

watmekiasu:
No need to
No.

If you get the \"yellow-envelope\" in the next two days, at least you know she is gifted by nature.

MdmKS:
That's true.
No need to

Come what may, every child is gifted in their own way. Mine is musically gifted so I guess it's a bit too much to ask God to throw me more crumbs by way of mental giftedness.

Hi All,
So GEP is selected at P3? If the child being posted to GEP schools at P3 can the siblings follow along? Assuming where current one in P3 & another one going to enter P1 next year. -
hi titank
GEP is selected at the end of P3β¦ and the kid past the GEP test, he/she may choose to go to GEP school at P4.
Hope that clarifies yr query.

titank:
Well the P1 would already have registered for a place by now. So if the GEP school has a vacancy at P1, then the P1 would be able to transfer over. But I believe this is quite unlikely because the P1 places were allocated by Aug and unless there are students transferring out, how would there be any vacancies? But no harm trying....Hi All,
