      JR:
Looks like the thumbnail image is too small to be of any use. Anyway here is the gist of the article:

      五官描绘法:
      除了看图造句,同学想象自己就在图画里。然后,发挥自己的观察力和联想能力。
      在那环境里,
      1)看到什么
      2)听到什么
      3)闻到什么
      4)摸到什么
      5)综合(1)到(4),你感觉到什么,心里有什么想法
      Thank you JR.

Now i have to use good translator to convert these points into english (am non-chinese and my DD has taken mandarin as MT)

Hope my following translation will help:
In summary, the student can imagine him/herself in the picture and then use observation and imagination to pen the composition. It will involve describing about what your 5 senses tell you, i.e.
          1) what you see
          2) what you hear
          3) what you smell
          4) what you touch
          5) combining (1) to (4) what kind of feeling do they evoke

oh ok! thank you so much!!

sounds great and fun way of writing compo…I will ask my DD to imagine herself as a compo character and then imagine the experience…

Lets see how her imagination runs wild…

              2I / 2 CL4 (Chinese Class)

No Chinese composition test mention... only Ting1 Xie3 every Tuesday (list with dates was given earlier by MT teacher).
Spelling once in a 2 weeks (10 words and 2 sentenses, list with dates was given earlier by EL teacher).
To me, I think not much homework, only a few quiz or test on McOnline (about 10 questions each quiz/test). That's why I'm puzzled when there's complaint about too much homework and too many worksheets? Sorry...

Lexmark, your kid also in 2I?

My DD1 has lots of pages of homework every other day. Maybe she didnt complete them on time in class that’s why need to bring them home. Just on Mon, she needed to do Pg 7-12 for the maths homework (green book). Then still had chinese worksheets to do. And also some writings abt herself and needed to look for bb photo for that worksheet.

My DD is in 2G / 2CL1 (chinese class)

I think there is different teacher for different chinese class and so the test may vary??. My DD also does not get much homework for maths and english. 1 or 2 pgs once/twice a week. But she does mention that she finished the homework at school if she has time as teacher told her to do it…of course there is mistakes and all…

for chinese, there is compo and reading (i think read a paragraph something) test next week.

But DD1 said, teacher mentioned that it will not be very difficult. Teacher will give some jumbled sentences which have to be re-arranged. Then again re-arrange the sentences in sequence to match the pictures of the compo…but I still worry as my DD sometimes…rush through and miss out some of the characters in the sentences… or her bad handwriting for chinese characters…

spelling test is regular for each week. yesterday she had maths diagnostic test also…ayyah…don’t know what she did in it…

                      Hi, Giggler1,
If I'm not mistaken, Maths pg7-12 were given on Friday. 2nd Feb, teacher told the class to bring BB photo on 3rd Feb, and worksheet About Myself was discussed in the class on Friday.
