      Fion Loh:
My husband don really like LV curriculum N yesterday the malay lady said LV teachers mostly communicate in English not in chinese. And they don really have Maths lesson as well.

      Hi Fion!

Maybe the Malay lady who spoke to you yesterday was the Admin. staff.

\"LV teachers mostly communicate in English not in Chinese\". Well, I think it makes sense, right? If the teacher is a English teacher, you will want her to speak in English, not Mandarin, right? Don't you think the child will get confused if his English teacher speaks to him in Mandarin? All Chinese teachers speak to the children in Mandarin. So, in this aspect, I don't see any problem. In fact, this is what LSH does. During the briefing, Patricia mentioned that their English teachers were required to speak in English only, so as not to confuse the children. If this is your husband's concern, perhaps you would like to tell him to be prepared to face this type of situation in other centres, too, be it LV or LSH.
      Fion Loh:
So he thought maybe sending my son to LSH at Ulu Pandan since we cant get a vacancy in Kent vlue.
Actually, your son is still so young. Is there a need to send him all the way to Ulu Pandan just to enjoy the curriculum offered by LSH? :? For me, my priority for my child at this age would be for him to socialise and get to know more friends.

If you are really concerned with the curriculum, you could very well put him in another centre when he is older.

Just my two cents. At the end of the day, of course, it is a decision you and your husband will have to make for your boy.

          Hi lzxuan!

With regards to the classrooms, Patricia's reply is as follows:

LSH @ Kent Vale will only carry out minor renovation works such as painting of the interior, repair works from 31st Dec to 2nd Jan.

For phase 2 renovation, it is unlikely that we will tear down all classrooms though we are unable to determine and assess the scope of work at the moment.

In any case, in all LSH centres, we keep a balance between classrooms and open spaces.
So there will definitely be some open classrooms like this (from their website).

Fion, for Ulu Pandan matters would it be better to check with Ulu Pandan principal? Patricia is LSH@KV center director, she might not know well about other branches.

Fion said the lady was wearing scarf, so not admin staff right? There are at least 5 teachers wearing scarf, A1, A2, S1, S2, R.

Yes, this is same across all the childcare. Chinese teachers would only speak Mandarin. There is Maths lesson, but not in depth, K1 syllabus is having them to spell out one to ten and able to count. No addition/substraction yet.

Hi Fion, LV@SP2 should be a good choice for you 😄
Kent vale is a big campus, so diseases spread faster. Like there was once the school closed due to more than 15 cases of HFMD in 10 days time. This is MCYS guideline regardless the number of children in the school, as long as there are more than 15 cases in continuously 10 days time, school needs to be closed.
Since LV goes private, the class ratio would be smaller, total number of children is also lesser, it lower your son's risk of catching virus. 😉

                      Hi Fion!

Did LV say what will be the teacher-student ratio in SP2?

Patricia's job title is Senior Manager, Operations. So, I think all the centre principals report to her, unless my understanding of Operations Manager is incorrect, or LSH has a different structure.
