It's probably because P1 and P2 are in the afternoon session, therefore they can take in students as they have the hall in the mornings.
Tsk tsk, this is bad! They don't allow p3 to join, saying that the holding sch can't take in anymore for table tennis and badminton, for safety reason, yet they r offered to p1 and 2!junemum72:
Anyone can share what sports CCA does KH offer? My Pri 1 DS came back with a CCA form last month and quite surprise to see only 2 (badminton and table tennis). Do they have more for upper primary onwards?
Anyone knows if they offer Wushu ?
Btw, they do hv other sports like basketball n wushu, they r listed in the sch website.
Yes, they have wushu but for P3 onwards.
For P1, they do have a CCA list that was given earlier in Jan, did you receive it? Quite alot, Guzheng, chess, weiqi, badminton, table tennis, and others I can't remember... :? -
Hi
When my son joined Table Tennis in P1, he has to pay fee as it was an enrichment class for P1 and P2 students. P3 onwards then considered as CCA, so no need to pay anymore. -

Oh, thanks for highlighting. I didnt know it will be free for P3 onwards.Hi
When my son joined Table Tennis in P1, he has to pay fee as it was an enrichment class for P1 and P2 students. P3 onwards then considered as CCA, so no need to pay anymore.
So what's the difference between signing them up as early as P1 and by the time they are in p3? -
If students are trained earlier and are good, they will "promote" to school team and may have chances to represent the school for tournaments. Those just join in P3 as CCA, will first consider as recreational team members.
The school’s website says - "The school niche CCA programmes are in Badminton, Table Tennis, Chinese Orchestra and Guzheng. Many of the Kong Hwaians have excelled in their CCAs which enable them to enrol in secondary schools through Direct Schools Admission Exercises (DSA)." -
Anyone knows what is the criteria for DSA?

Hi hi very new to this forum.Any idea does the school offer after school care? My son is entering P1 next year
-
They have asked for our opinion on school after hours care but no news so far.
For student care outside, there is one at Mountbatten CC which many KHS students go to cos it’s next to the school. That is, based on the assumption that we should have moved back by then. -
Most of the new school's structures are already up & they look pretty impressive . The whole area looks hugh but packed with many blocks of building. The school has shown some pictures of the new premise to the students and my ds said the toilets look like 'hotel standard' with nice taps & marble tiles (I think it should be marble look alike tiles).

Understand there is a ballot going on for school start hrs next yr2013 when all will move. Any confirmation on the start hrs yet? 8am?
Any parents with kids staying more than 2km away from school?
Can feedback on the school bus fetching time from your house? -
Really? Ballot for change in hours? That's interesting. But that would mean ending school later?
