How about the technology that supposedly drives insects away by emitting a pitch that only insects can hear? I bought mine at Home-fix, so far no roaches but still see ants. You could try this if all else fails. Don't know how effective it is but I have nt seen a single roach since I tried this.LKVM:
I need more remedies for roaches, tried all that is put in here but still the roaches dont seem to go away.. they go away for few days but then come back again and double force with their kids and their eggs.. arghhhh help!! infact I tried the perfume method by which they went for longer days but then came back again....
Hi LKVM
Have you tried the Golden Rooster Brand of Ant and Cockroach Killer? Its available at Fairprice. Cut open the sachet and place it near the rubbish chute or utility area. Be careful if you have young children. Although it is generally effective in eliminating large cockroaches , I found that its not too effective in eliminating the smaller type of cockroaches. -
Anyone with a good fix for ants? I hate them, but they are invading my dining and kitchen… those combat ant killer patches doesnt work at all!

I tried mixing vinegar, water and tea tree oil together and wiped all the surfaces where I regularly see ants and it seems to work. Tried it out about 1 month ago, so far, I see fewer ants but I hope they don’t come back once they are used to that smell.

Thanks for the tip ccgoh! I will try it out on my kitchen n dining areas… hopefully it works!!

Yes hopefully! Today, I noticed a new ant trail…just when I thought the problem was solved but maybe it was because I have not been wiping that frequently. I used to wipe every other day with that solution maybe you can try to wipe frequently at first.

How to get rid of lizards, I hate them and I bought the insect sound signal thing that supposedly repels lizards but I found a tiny one still in my bedroom.
-
Found some in rice container.
Check clipboards and gave them a good wipe.
But keep finding one after another at different parts of kitchen.
Any one has same problem. I just feel uncomfortable at the thought of these tiny bugs. As if my house is dirty. :scared: -
think it’s mites, not weevils.
if the surface is not exposed to foodstuff, maybe can consider wipe it with diluted bleach. -
Ok will wipe with diluted bleach.
When I washed the rice grain, These pest were floating. :yikes:
:faint: -
LOLMum,
May I ask where do you place your rice bin?
This happened to me when I placed mine on my kitchen counter. I threw the whole bin of rice away when I discovered the mites.
After that, I placed my rice bin in the pantry cupboard and make sure that I place a couple of dried chillies in the bin(I got this tip from the household tips thread). After that, no more problem.
