How to get rid of lizards, I hate them and I bought the insect sound signal thing that supposedly repels lizards but I found a tiny one still in my bedroom.
-
Found some in rice container.
Check clipboards and gave them a good wipe.
But keep finding one after another at different parts of kitchen.
Any one has same problem. I just feel uncomfortable at the thought of these tiny bugs. As if my house is dirty. :scared: -
think it’s mites, not weevils.
if the surface is not exposed to foodstuff, maybe can consider wipe it with diluted bleach. -
Ok will wipe with diluted bleach.
When I washed the rice grain, These pest were floating. :yikes:
:faint: -
LOLMum,
May I ask where do you place your rice bin?
This happened to me when I placed mine on my kitchen counter. I threw the whole bin of rice away when I discovered the mites.
After that, I placed my rice bin in the pantry cupboard and make sure that I place a couple of dried chillies in the bin(I got this tip from the household tips thread). After that, no more problem. -

I put mine in the kitchen cupboard. Will try chilli. Is that the dried chilli or just ordinary chili (those for cutting)?
I am just afraid they might be around laying eggs. :faint: -
My mum taught me to put garlic (unpeeled) into the rice bin with the rice. No problems with weevils also.

Dried red ones, not the fresh ones, were recommended in the thread. -
Thread? Ok will check it out.
Thanks folks for your help.

I use airtight containers. Seem to stop them from appearing in my rice…
