For P4, a neat way is to use MD.

Cup ----- I unit or 1 box
Plate ----- 1 unit + 3
Bowl ----- 1 unit + 3 + 2

2 units + (1 unit +3) + (1 unit + 5) ------ 20

4 units ------ 12
1 unit ------ 3

Cost of 14 cups ------ 14*3 ------ 42
