After class dd told us 我好不开心.... We were surprised and ask why she not happy... Then she explained she's very happy... We were like 真的吗... Teacher got teach wrong a not?

Is good that your dd use it ! But 好不开心 in general consider 书面语 which is less commonly used in conversation. In s'pore, we are used to mixture of languages, therefore when comes to Mandarin we become \"词穷\" ... lack of expressive words. We just have to read and speak more

Does anyone know if there is any assessment books that the the kid can practice HYPY? Or rather any book that can help the kid improve on HYPY? Or any way to help to kid improve his HYPY?

I personally think that this book is good for learning hanyupinyin, you might want to check it up to see if it is suitable.

jenao, i am using the following for DS general practice (1st image) and the guide (2nd image) for self reference so than I \"control\" myself not to have too high expectation over P1 syllabus

in my opinion, if you are going to guide you child in hypy, you may like to run through the guide (CD included) , re-cap and get your tongue \"warm-up\" before going through with your child

Hi Champion,

look like the book which you are using is a \"workbook\" to the one I mentioned as that book is a guide book under the same publisher.
Parent can go through the chapter from the guide book and then assign work from the \"workbook\" to reinforce what the child had learnt.
