Cold sores r a form of herpes simplex. There r no way of getting rid of it. U will also find that the cold sore would always occur at the same spot. I used to get it once a yr while I was living in Australia, during winter time. I don't get it often now that I m in sg, so u can still get it even in hot n humid weather.

I have learn to tell the signs that a cold sore is coming up (it feels hot, a bit itchy, and kinda unpleasant) and I would immediately pile on lip balm for the next few days. After that, the cold sore would disappear and it would not form blisters. Can get your son to try šŸ™‚

Welll... I am a one who will contract cold sores when I am stress. So far I have not come across children having it. Recently a colleague of mine shared that by having vitamin B complex will actually curb this problem.

I went to GNC and ask if there is anything for cold sores and true enough I was recommended vitamin B complex. I search in the internet for information and true enough there is some write up that deficiency can lead to developing stress , anxiousness (which I guess your child is having during the exam period)

I am taking the supplement and shall see if it works šŸ˜„

Some said that cold sores are caused by long exposure to sun or dry lips. I used to have it frequently but then when I started to use a lip moisturiser with SPF, the attacks became less frequent.
