Champion & Janet, you gals really act :siam: !!.... πŸ˜‰

I was also v tempted to buy that book yday but thinking the no. of untouched assessmt bks i have at home, i kinda hesitated....
The book looks rather \"friendly\" and \"manageable\" as compared to Fabian Ng series, which seems to be pitched at a slightly higher level. (mother777 - u agreed?)
Moreover the pink cover looks so ATTRACTIVE!!.... :rotflmao:

SAHM_TAN - I thk they have all levels.

          SAHM_TAN:
Champion, is there a P1 version for the must know maths problem sum? Thanks

          :hugs: Mummy SAHM_TAN,
Yes, it is available from P1-P6 :rahrah:

Think the P1 is orange cover. Din get for P1 DD2 as I think she is rather \"easy\" & \"bochap\" type with assessment books 🀷 :wrongmove:

Well I let my daughter do the Fabian ng after she attempted the more easier assessment book.

I explain the example to her, after that so far she is able to follow n do the questions.. So far so good πŸ™‚

I find the challenging Mathis by sandhya sundar more tough.. It's the last book my DD touches :siam: she does not like it much 🀷

Thank you, Champion, for being kind and meticulous to help check that ISBN is the same for old and new Step by Step Casco book. πŸ˜„ :salute:

                  Hi mother777! πŸ˜„
I hv the Challenging 4-in-1 by Dawn Tai.. it is abit tough for my DS, he has many blanks at his 1st attempt.. so i bought Distinction in Maths by JUST, which he could managed q well.

I guess s'times I tend to overestimate my DS by buying \"difficult\" assessmt books for him, only to find many incomplete questions/errors in them.
I used to feel \"unbalanced\" if i accidentally bought assessment books which turn out easy or managable... :siao:

But i failed to realise I hv to pitch it as his level and slowly help to \"bring it up\" but not just expect him to \"jump\" to a level that i want him to.
So now i am also doing what you are doing, let him attempt the easy assessmt bks, build up his confidence abit before I help him with the difficult ones.

my boy is using Intensive Math drill.

he quite like it as it has 3 levels in each topic.
i pick random questions in each section for him.

But learned from my own mistakes when saw her struggling and getting scared of maths..

it takes time and bit of hardwork for parents also to come up with a style which suits our kids

just hope our kids do well :xedfingers:

Used to get Fabian Ng's PSP but thickness is scary. Went to Popular yest to check out new stuff  Bought Casco Step by Step by chance and found that it is not bad in terms of building confidence.
                        So the 3 NOs are:
                        *Dawn Tai's Challenging Math
                        *Sandhya Sundar
                        *Fabian Ng
