Is ur girl in CCPS now? The school have remedial classes for weak student and they start on the 2nd and 3rd week after school term starts.

for the past years statistic, you can enter CCPS at all phases so it is quite ok.

Anyone of ur girl in P1 is taught by Mrs Sung?

Oh! How’s strict is Mrs Sung? How about the ML teacher Dong 老师?


My DH went for the parents briefing session and Mrs Sung informed that the school will be taking a soft and paced-out approach. However, I find that there is still quite a bit of homework and I do find the 画图 for the ML homework is a bit redundant. The girls are to copy, draw & color 8 to 16 pictures from the ML textbook. Not too sure the reason for it.

My DD ML teacher is not Dong Lao Shi and I dun rbr she did what ur girl did when she is in P1.

Do prepare ur girl in creative writing as the CW will start after mid year break.

My mum is staying around Macpherson estate. Should i do a declaration on my mum being the caregiver, so that i can register my ger in Canossa Pri ? Or i dun need to do the declaration as i read that no balloting is required for this school, so as to say, one is sure to get a place in the sch if one register there ?

It is true that for the past few years, there is no balloting fear for Canossa Convent Pri but why take the risk? If declaration is not too a hassle, I suggest u shld go ahead with the declaration before registration.

As i am a former student from Cedar Girls Pri Sch (it was still not a mix sch during my time there), i will have priority in phase 2 something (sori still not sure about the diff phases) but I do not know whether i should put my ger in Cedar / Canossa as i hardly see any comment regarding Cedar Pri. If you will in my shoe, will you consider Cedar / Canossa ? BTW, is Canossa affiliated with any Sec sch ?

if you prefer all girls' school, choose Cannosa Convent.
P1 girls start Higher Chinese.

if you prefer co-ed, choose Cedar.
check Cedar website if school post PSLE results.

if they didn't, you may write in discreetly to the school, inquire about latest past 3 years Cedar PSLE results, compare against Cannosa Convent standard on Quality passes, subject by subject (available on their school website). Email: [email protected]

in the past, there were hardworking pupils from Cannosa Convent primary who did well at PSLE and went onto Raffles Girls' Secondary, Nanyang Girls' High, CHIJ St Nicholas.

as you were a former PSLE graduate of Cedar primary, you come under phase 2A(2).

However if you're keen, you may join Cedar alumni association as a member, not later than 30 June of the year before P1 registration, and come under phase 2A (1):
