red rose:
http://ra.ri.edu.sg/Hi! Can anyone enlighten me on the RA entry tests for RI? I heard there are 2 written tests - 1 mid-year, 1 year-end plus an interview. Is the year-end test only for those who did not fare well in the mid-year one? Thanks!
Cheers!
mid year exam result will be used a qualifying point for selection test
minimum GPA 3.6, above 85th percentile in the relevant subject -

how does he like red cross? -
He is curious in e beginning … But he may not be able to do certain activities in red cross due to his medical condition. So not sure how it will affect his ranking promotion. He’s also in a dilemma

Hi, does anyone have any son in Secondary 3 this year? If yes, does he complain about the heavy work load? My son is taking triple Science + Literature (non RA). He is complaining he has so much homework and project work that he is comtemplating changing to another IP school. According to him the gap semester in Secondary 4 forces the syllabus to be compressed that he is given as many as 4-5 pieces of homework daily that leaves him with no time to revise the lessons or read ahead. How is everyone else coping? Help!! Thanks!

Same here. Stress level v high too. Lots of projects plus CCA commitments. And the hw is v v tough to do. The only \"help\" I could offer him is give him herbal tea, herbal soup, fav desserts and the occasional caffeine fix if he has to stay up late but has no more energy to do so. Always falling asleep on bus/mrt. Sob sob heartbreaking.
Many of his friends are in the same boat so don't worry too much. -
wormy:
My son is doing 3 sciences and history. Only heard of a Chinese project only. I notice he has more pieces of worksheets than yr 2. But like today, after a long day with CCA, he managed to complete hw and sleep at 10pm. But he said he's very tired. I don't follow his school work, not sure about the difficulty level  He said no need to have tuition, so I guess it's ok lah. He only revises during weekend.angie888:

Ok, thanks for sharing. I am worried because he seems to think changing school helps. I am at my wits' end. Hopefully he can be convinced by his form teacher.
