[quote=\"Nebbermind\"]Didn't follow the whole episode....why was the lawyer acting for the PM when the slander was on HC? She is in a high enough position to act for herself, ya?
Davinder Singh, Drew & Napier.
HC is not a lawyer by training.
He is also an aggrieved party by association.
One of d consideration for d amount of damages to be awarded
in a defamation suit is how big is d plaintiff's reputation n
how much damage is caused to dat reputation.
On both counts, PM is greater.
Dat's my reading. -

Let the truth prevails then ....
But I really pity the people related to the high profile / high ranking, aka A-listers. If these people are truly capable high flyers, there will always be a faction who will never give them due credit, except to think they reach where they are because they are related to the A-listers.
And the results? how many billions was that ar....? lost count..
capable.. indeed.. -

If I may add, PM has not asked for damages in this case. If I may further add, the damages awarded to all govt leaders for all previous suits were all donated to charities.

I thought we were talking about transparency a few threads ago? Now its okay for people to make wild allegations and the people being maligned should just shut up?
They can clarify or address the issue to the public..
Not necessarily armed with a threat to sue to the individual.. -
HVR:
First, wat r u trying to say in ur second point?

That they sued not to enrich themselves but to clear their names. You shouldn't be fearful if you can back up what you said. Unless you are saying something you know you can't substantiate with facts.
