Actually, only some PRC are not nice, there are still good ones around. I was at a foodcourt ordering packed rice for my kids. As I was breaking up 2 packs into 3, I asked for an extra empty box. The lady, think & think & I was wondering what's taking her so long to collect $ from me. Just then her colleague went into the kitchen, she quickly pass an empty box & asked me to keep it quickly & not let her colleague see it. She thot I had 3 kids & din want to charge me extra for the box. I was pretty touched. I was actually prepared to pay the extra few cents, but I believe she wanted to be nice & so I accepted it so as not to dampen her joy in helping someone. It's very trivia, but I appreciate her little gesture still. You know, sonetimes the non-locals are really more jovial....I often feel like slapping our own people :oops:

Very true. There are very nice PRC here and also in their country. I was very impressed when in Beijing and Shanghai for holiday in the past, the locals would usually give up their seats for DS2 (about 4/5 years old then). Definitely not to be expected in SG.

Agree there r nice PRC ard. Experienced it myself.
I nvr agree with d generalization dat all r bad hats.
ur recollection here makes me ponder abt whether their psyche,
esp d older generations who were scarred by d Cultural Rev,
affects their thinking n d way they act.
m referring to d part about acting on d sly even when they only hv gud/kind intentions.

Since this 孙旭 guy has retracted his post.....guess he knows the seriousness. Hope he truly regret & not bcos' he know what happened to the 'black lip' PRC who flee home without completing his studies. But I will remember his name.


It's really very sad for SG to give scholarship to such people. Too many people dun know how to 饮水思源, that's why the society is turning to be soooo.......

SG is actively promoting scholarships in China, India, Asean etc.
While d gahmen's objective is understandable, sad to say, some of these ppl r gaming d system.
