        Hi Every1

We did the same too, labelled every piece of stationery etc, DS son kept on being missing for a day or two, then returned, then he had extras!!.. eraser from 1 big piece, became smaller & smaller & smaller...now DS say wanna go book shop buy...we say NOOOOOOOO.....it cost $1....told DS only after we have used all the inventory (courtesy of Birthday parties etc)

Thought this is quite useful... if you find it easier to explain in English...

            http://pinyin.info/rules/where.html

Where do the tone marks go?
β€’A and e trump all other vowels and always take the tone mark. There are no Mandarin syllables in Hanyu Pinyin that contain both a and e.
β€’In the combination ou, o takes the mark.
β€’In all other cases, the final vowel takes the mark.

Was going through dd's 听写... and found out she didn't know above... and the teacher haven't taught them... esp the ou thingy... expect the kids to memorise?
Win liao lor... if I'm teaching dd these... then the teacher do what?
            :stompfeet: :slapshead: :stupid:

I get DD to bring used stationary to school, so far she told me all who borrowed from her will return after using them, wonder was it too old to keep it for themselves πŸ˜† , or they are very honest. FT did stress that if borrow must return or else will punish :rotflmao: πŸ˜“ so only labelled on the case/cover.

Have any school here started show n tell?

DD doing both, Eng n CL, nxt week. It's a task manh to get her to memorize them. Accordingly to FT, all these show n tell n spelling will be rated from Term 1, so must put in effort πŸ˜“ πŸ™ .
