Can take time off. MC also can use.
But if you can only get the chance to volunteer for recess duty which is 1 or 2 hours a day that means going to the school 20 times. Is anyone seriously going to give up all their leave for a whole year? -
Wondering out aloud :?
Just guessing, less than 100 forummers here are posting the idea of a fair system. Still no consensus one one policy. Not even a majority for one single policy.
Few of us scarred by our experience , few looking beyond the immediate impact, and most just concerned with one phase- do away with this or that phase, \" I don't care about the other phases\" , some disconnected with the ground basing our views on hearsay....
Wonder if there can be any changes which at least is reasonable to most?
And if that change will be in the best interest of the child, of the future of the nation than just assuaging our fears, our frustration.
Just wondering.... -
I think whatever happens the government needs to avoid taking its usual stance of coming up with a new policy and then implementing it immediately without any prior warning in the way it did with things like CPF cuts in the past.
We should be given 2 years before any change is implemented so that those of us impacted can assess our options under the new scheme and make the right decisions for our children. -

Not really a very responsible or practical suggestion

I think your boss might be suspicious if you are only every sick on a certain day of the week and never during the school holidays!

I didn't PV for your info. Some bosses are kind to give time off. For MC, for those desperate cases if they burst their annual leave, I believe some may abuse it. -
PV is Just ridiculous la…take leave to pv? leave is better to use it for more worthwhile things.
Most parents grudgingly are forced to pv due to their own ‘motives’. It is not out of free will. Also, not every parent can afford the time to do pv u know? They got other better things to do. So Parent volunteer is not a good idea at all. -

It isn't worth loosing your job over such silly PV. It is not worth it.

Boy, now I regret how glad I was to discard my old primary school uniform. At least I would get a feel of how its like seeing my girl in the same uniform.
I am proud to see my daughter in the same uniform I once wore...it's great to see her continue the tradition and legacy too.

One got in, after that the 2nd & 3rd child in Phase 1. To him, it is worth it. Some people feel that children's education (headstart in good school) is more important than bursting 1 year's of annual leave They go all out to improve their chance.
