        HAPPYH,

I think that depend who is the teacher and how she / he marks.
You are lucky to get a good teacher who really look into individule HW. My DD papers always so ’ clean ’ after marking.

            hi HAPPYH,

any idea why yr friend's daughter quit \"Just Education\" after 1.5 yrs ?

I can not comment much on Just education because I did not enroll my DD there. My friend said that her DD did not improve much and she found out much later that her teacher just tell the answers if she does not know how to answer rather than explaining it to the student. Again it could be the teacher or the individual.

MS Maths did not work for me/my DD. But their question set up is very good. It covers almost all the challenging questions in top school exam papers.

For science and Eng toolbox, I will say MS is good. My DD is doing well. At least works for my DD. I can see full of red marks all over the sheet. That means those two teachers are really putting in a lot of efforts to improve the student's writing skills (English) and answering techniques in Science. I can not remember the english teacher name. I go home and tell you. Her Science teacher is Mdm Goh.

Overall, choosing the centre that fits our children's need is a challenging issue here. I guess we can find out that only after trying (ie enrolling in the centre and observing CLOSELY). 😄

Yes, I agree. Getting the good teacher is the issue. Could it be in the school or in the tuition centres..... Teacher's commitment should be there to see any improvement.

😄 Luck.... I agree too. It is like getting the good maid...

My DD is in K2. Teacher good and caring when she learned that my DD had some difficulty. Staff quite nice. I think all depends on class dynamics and teacher. 15 to a class quite big but students have to get used to it so it won’t be a shock when they go to Pri 1. Discipline is sometimes a problem with one or two talkative and disruptive boys distracting other students but teacher managed to get things under control.

Hi Snow 123, did you switch your son to the high achiever class? Is it much more difficult than the achiever class? Since he could make it for the test, he should not have problem following the class.

Hope that a generous mum staying in Sengkang could share her child’s Mind stretcher P5/6 high achiever science notes with me. I am able to share Mavis P5/6 science notes in return.

Yes, eventually. I did switch him to high achiever math. It is much more difficult, and there is not much concept taught, the IQ qns are difficult , my son is coping with it.
