And yes, I still hope she'll do well in these trials... so there is less \"ketchup\"

I hope to see better results bcos CA1 is the first test since he started Science tuition last Nov. I hope to see him break out of that 60+ marks range for Science.

Yeah... me too... I have my tongue in my mouth. I dun dare expect too much because I know he is still quite unprepared but I do hope he will do well. Even though I pretend in front of him that I don't really care.

Same here...I am acting cool but actually still feel some stress.
Last night, he asked hubby if he can work from home this afternoon to coach him for tomorrow's Math paper. I am quite happy he made this request.

Oh Janet... I am so happy for you. You have such a precious son. He is such a GOOD boy. Please tell him that from Auntie Chenonceau and give him a big hug on my behalf. He is such a brave and self-motivated little boy. I am sure you are proud of his spirit and drive. This request alone is something worth celebrating!!

I told him, ‘put in your best effort.’
Since we had literally no time to get a single past year paper CA1 done, we can only hope for the best. If his positive attitude continues, this would be all worth it for the stress we had gone through earlier.

Me Three. Been putting on brave front for DS. He's been working so hard + reframing his perspectives despite some setbacks we encountered during the revision period these past weeks. At his Maths enrichment class, he had 2 CA practice papers in those Higher-Order-Thinking (HOT) sums, and he had failed both papers. He has tears streaming down his face as he counted his marks - my heart was breaking as I saw him wipe his tears. His teacher was most encouraging and kept him after class to assure him that he's on track because he's already an A* student for effort, attitude & motivation. We managed to find out where the gaps are and then when he came home, DS just re-did those sums and experienced success from those mistakes. Last Sat, he failed again at the CA practice paper, fewer tears and I just shared with him he's ok because he's worked so hard. Assured him that these experiences of failure will help him learn resilience in encountering future difficulties & setback. Assured him I'm not expecting any specific marks from the CA, just wanting him to keep using the skills he's taught, keep learning from the feedback and keep going... This mother want to \"peng san\" from the fatique already. It's not just the revising of such difficult standard of P6 work but just keeping the spirits up and giving strength to my child... After this week, I promised the kids we'll go swimming and have fun at the pool....

This describes exactly how I felt in the worst moments of my DS' Chinese journey. Very tired but had to give him my strength. Happily, we begin to see some light.

You both too will see the light soon if he persists at this. Keep at it. Just a few months more to daylight.

My son told me Eng CA1 was tough...I told him it's over, forget it, just move on. He is working on math paper 1 now. Timing himself as well.
