Enrichment/tuition prior P5 preparation can't seem to prepare a child when he/she faces the first CA. My son cried when he came home last year...my hubby couldn't understand either.

There must be a way to conquer P5 Math. A friend’s son doesn’t have Math tuition and yet he scored very close to A*. From what I heard, the school teachers (a school in Jurong West) are very dedicated and the resources are amazing.

From all your posts, I feel your daughters are in good hands.

Son's teacher asked him whose method of solving a problem sum is easier...tutor or his. My son told him the tutor's method is easier...bcos he has been practising that method for a while. I fainted when son told me about it.

My point is, why couldn't his school allocate teachers who can teach at helpful strategies earlier instead of P6 ? If he had this teacher in P5, I wouldn't have to get him a tutor at all.
