      buds:
And no... not many children have tuition.

      Mine doesn't. πŸ˜‰

      Yet. :scared:

Last year's teachers were beyond extraordinary! :please:
This year (now only Feb some more)... teachers are all
different and we're beginning to see *CMI traits. :nailbite:

And like Janet has reiterated many times over... P5 is THE YEAR! *gulp*

      *Cannot Make It*
although my kid has 2 tuition, i want to be inspired that it is do-able to do well with none..
      jiayou buds!

Enrichment/tuition prior P5 preparation can't seem to prepare a child when he/she faces the first CA. My son cried when he came home last year...my hubby couldn't understand either.

        Anxiety of CA?

There must be a way to conquer P5 Math. A friend’s son doesn’t have Math tuition and yet he scored very close to A*. From what I heard, the school teachers (a school in Jurong West) are very dedicated and the resources are amazing.

My P4 DD1 has Maths tuition and her feedback is always very positive πŸ˜„ \"Mummy, Mrs A teaching method is very clear; I understand and I am able to apply it to those challenging questions given by Miss A in school.\" Coincidentally, both happen to be female teacher with surname starts with \"A\" πŸ˜‚

                Hey Champion,
From all your posts, I feel your daughters are in good hands.

Son's teacher asked him whose method of solving a problem sum is easier...tutor or his. My son told him the tutor's method is easier...bcos he has been practising that method for a while. I fainted when son told me about it.

My point is, why couldn't his school allocate teachers who can teach at helpful strategies earlier instead of P6 ? If he had this teacher in P5, I wouldn't have to get him a tutor at all.

likely most of the 45 students have tuition. so big class size also nevermind.

maybe they have more than 1 teacher assistant assigned to that class? :scratchhead:

Close to the number of children my girls' classes have.

My DDs classes have over forty. Still one teacher.
VP answered me this when I raised concern over the big class size.

                  \"Which classes are they in?\"

                  Followed by...

\"Oh.. your children are in the better classes.\"
\"The teachers assigned to these classes and
                  the children themselves can cope.
                  Better
classes can manage with bigger class size.\"[/quote]Tuition?

:thankyou: Janet for the encouragement :hugs:

Somehow, my DD1 is able to grasp and understand the tutor's method better πŸ˜„

                      Tuition?
                      I strongly think so.

Erm...MOE, are you reading this ? Is it possible for kids to be able to cope on their own ?

I asked my DD1,\" In your class of 40 students, who has NO tuition / enrichment?\" Her reply,\" Mummy, where got people don't have tuition de? All have lah and the top girl has 6 altogether!\" :yikes:
