any body know where in the west can i look for good range of metallic pencil cases? TQ!
Such pencil cases are very noisy leh. My younger boy's FT forbade metal ruler too.
There is a bookshop at Beauty World Centre. Will confirm by Sunday if the selection is good. -

hi, i just bought my son Deuteur at Kiddy Place Tampines (Century Sq). Its on promotion. Usual price was $119 now selling at $99 (Scholar S Act). It is lightweight compared to those branded ergonomic bags. They r abt the same price. I think it is just nice for my P1 boy.Mustafa also sells Deuteur, anyone knows if it's cheap there?
I saw Deuteur Genius M $109, cheap? -
Jennifer:
oh ya..i forgot about the noise. ds1 want something box-like. i don't quite fancy those rectangular plastic ones with flaps on both sides (very popular in our olden days). unless there are good plastic retangular ones...

I saw those plastic boxes type (not the flap ones, looks like the metal ones but it's in plastic) at pasar malam selling all those cartoon character stuff. Maybe you can check out any pasar malams near you?

I usu. go window shopping there while waiting for #2 to finish his class.
Your boy likes plain design or hero-design ones?
I used to own one of those double sided pencil box- think there was a ejectable drawer too. -

DD had one too at the beginning of the year. It was FOC and came in a pack of stationery. However, it had a very short life cos the moment you drop it, there is a high chance something will become misaligned, and DD couldn't close it properly again. Even before that, the \"latch\" wasn't tight so the box can still pop open in her bag and everything will spill out.
Eventually, we settled on the zippered (thick) fabric kind. The only thing that can go wrong is for the zip to spoil but the chances of that happening under DD's hands should be low. Since your DS1 seems to take better care of his stuff than my DD, why not get him the zippered one instead? It is also much, much lighter. -

my boy doesn't like hero-design. he likes spongebob though
those pencil box with drawer are very fancy, can never afford that when younger, but now find that it is very bulky for the kids. -

we had one 'snoopy' plastic pencil case that comes in a stationary set too; my boy complained that it is too small (he keeps alot of junk!)

he is currently using a zippered one (plastic kind) and he said he wants to change box type cos he wants to see all his stationary lined up nicely...
