sorry to bother but I need to know how to draw the box model for Nancy.

Helen had twice as much money as Simon.
Nancy had $120 less than Helen.
The 3 persons had $380 altogether.
        How much did Simon have?

I know how to draw the box model for both Helen and Simon but stump at Nancy’s box. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

              Hi

I need help with the following question.

A workshop has the same number of cars and motorbikes.
These vehicles have 72 wheels altogether.
              How mony motorbikes are there?

Other than guess and check, is there any other easy way to attempt this question? MY DD takes for ever with the guess and check method, of course at the end, she can derive the answer.

              Thank you in advance.

                Hi Hi

                Found the answer.

                4 (car) + 2 (motorbike) = 6

                72 divided by 6 = 12

                  Hi there

can show the model drawing for this question again.

Ray and Jim had an equal amount of money. Ray spent $85 on the watch and Jim spent $189 on a camera. As a result, Ray had thrice as much as money as Jim had left. How much money did each of them have at first?

                  thanks in advance

                        From the model,

                        2 units + watch = camera
                        2 units + $85 = $189
                        Therefore, 2 units = $189 - $85.
