within the 1 processor (like the brain of the whole device), there are 2 (dual) or 4 (quad) calculating engines (core) to process data.

so naturally given 2 processor of the same speed, a quad core processor would be able to process more data than a dual core processor in the same given duration. However, due to the physical structure constraint, a quad core is not twice faster than a dual core.

If the task can be split between 2 person or more, than, having more workers will naturally speed things up and get things done faster. However, if the single task cannot be split, then, having more workers have no benefit as only 1 worker will be working at his pace while the other workers is idle.

In the case of the processor.. it depends whether the calling program support mulit-threading. Or whether you're running multi-task, like watching video and scanning for virus at the same time.

Also, not everything can run in parallel. Core A complete thread 1 might need to wait for core B to complete thread 2 before proceeding to the next execution step.

IPad2 is a slave unit, you email out your files rather than copy out to a device like thumb drive

some people use the camera kit to adapt it and use with sub

google it, lots of website and forum discussion on it
