      sorry to interrupt…

OT a bit… since this thread is about bags… what’s your view of the man carrying the handbag for the wife…?

      Acceptable?

      or not acceptable?

I used to find this unacceptable.. it's just weird seeing tall muscular men carrying ladies' bags esp when the bags are tiny, dainty, flowery and pink!...
But seems that it has become q a norm nowadays.
For me, unless I am super super tired or sick, if not, i wont ask my hubby to carry my bag...:)

I like to look at handbags but hardly buy.

I prefer casual looking bags since I'm a SAHM so bags must match my sloppy attire 😆

For daily use, I have 2 coach hobo bags to be used interchangably. I like hobo bags because size is big enough to stuff umbrella, baby wipes, all sort of barang barang inside.

If quick trip to pick kids up, I use a small coach sling bag just good for keys, handphone and tissue.

For wedding dinner or CNY, I usually carry my one & only LV shoulder bag. Been using that LV bag for almost 9 years, still look relatively new.

I also have a few coach wristlets of different sizes and designs, one Liz caliborne shoulder bag, one Kate spade evening bag & one Kate spade wristlet.

I have 2 kiplings bags too. Love their large zippers, very durable. And the straps are adjustable so can be use as shoulder bags or sling.

Okay, reported my entire bags collection. 😉

My next target is a LV backpack. Been eyeing that for long time but the price tag is 😓 Still waiting for a specially joyous occasion to trigger that purchase

Acceptable. But for how long? The entire day?

I usually carry my handbag unless I'm trying on some clothes then I would ask hubby to hold for a while.

He hardly carries my handbag...the LV he bought is for me to to carry, not him. It is a joy carrying it 😉

Well… I feel that, for those bigger bags which tends to be quite heavy, it’s only TLC to carry for the woman… esp if got kid’s stuff inside during family outings… Not very fair to pass all the weight to the lady isn’t it…?

Not those small dainty ones lah…

For my stuff, I should carry it myself. Furthermore, why would I want my hubby to look stupid carrying a cutesy flowery bag ? But when kids were much younger, there was a diaper bag...so not wrong for hubby to carry.
The other bag which hubby carries is daughter's Hello Kitty school bag :rotflmao:

Totally acceptable if it is a diaper bag or if the bag is big/heavy for the lady...
Just that I dont really understand why some ladies (maybe those still in courtship days lah) ask their men to carry their lightweight bags...or rather s'times its the men who offer to carry for the ladies, scared e teeny bag is too \"heavy\" for their little princess?...... :scratchhead:

Moreover if it is a branded bag, i will very much want to carry myself! :rahrah:

Actually my friend’s husband insist on carrying the small handbag for her. So don’t think it’s always the wife idea. Some men just want to do it. This includes married men! I know of some men who also need to consult the wife on every single thing. So there are all kind of people around.

I buy bags because I like them. I’ll never let anyone including my husband touch my bags. These bags need to be taken care of. I don’t know if my husband’s hand has touched any dirty stuff / oil / grease, etc that can harm the bags.
