OT a bit.. since this thread is about bags.. what's your view of the man carrying the handbag for the wife..?

      Acceptable?

      or not acceptable?
He hardly carries my handbag...the LV he bought is for me to to carry, not him. It is a joy carrying it 😉

Well… I feel that, for those bigger bags which tends to be quite heavy, it’s only TLC to carry for the woman… esp if got kid’s stuff inside during family outings… Not very fair to pass all the weight to the lady isn’t it…?

Not those small dainty ones lah…

For my stuff, I should carry it myself. Furthermore, why would I want my hubby to look stupid carrying a cutesy flowery bag ? But when kids were much younger, there was a diaper bag...so not wrong for hubby to carry.
The other bag which hubby carries is daughter's Hello Kitty school bag :rotflmao:

Totally acceptable if it is a diaper bag or if the bag is big/heavy for the lady...
Just that I dont really understand why some ladies (maybe those still in courtship days lah) ask their men to carry their lightweight bags...or rather s'times its the men who offer to carry for the ladies, scared e teeny bag is too \"heavy\" for their little princess?...... :scratchhead:

Moreover if it is a branded bag, i will very much want to carry myself! :rahrah:

Actually my friend’s husband insist on carrying the small handbag for her. So don’t think it’s always the wife idea. Some men just want to do it. This includes married men! I know of some men who also need to consult the wife on every single thing. So there are all kind of people around.

I buy bags because I like them. I’ll never let anyone including my husband touch my bags. These bags need to be taken care of. I don’t know if my husband’s hand has touched any dirty stuff / oil / grease, etc that can harm the bags.
Haha... when I am stressed, I will EAT more.

I am not into bags or shoes or any accessories at this moment.
Eating also is one of my stress reliever. Whenever I am stressed I eat more specifically sweets such as ice cream, chocolates..

Well, I am into shoes, but I don't buy on impulse. I am into quality though. If it's worth it then go for it!

I am into eating too! Bags come a close second! 🕺 But now as a SAHM, no extra moolah to splurge so have to make do with whatever I already have. I am quite extreme when it comes to bags, I have canvas totes that came free with magazines to a couple of good French and Italian brands that cost an arm and a leg these days. Hermes shall remain a dream.

That said, I am still looking for the perfect-sized, light weight and stylist black leather everyday bag. Oh, and maybe a nice clutch for dinners as well. And also... ...

                    😉 :spank:

I am thinking of getting a branded bag.

I have been working all these years diligently and realized that I really did not pamper myself much. As such, i decided that from this year onwards, I will start to spend more and be more relax about savings.

My budget is $1000, what do you think I should get? I know of many brands that easily exceed that sum, but this is the maximum I would pay for a bag.....
Have you found your bag? Maybe you can decide what the bag is for before you spend the money. Like, is it a everyday bag or for weekends or for special occasions. If you don't mind waiting a while, wait for GSS. One of my most versatile bags is a buttery soft lambskin tote that I bought at Gucci at 50% off. I think I paid around $800. That was 4 years ago and I still carry it very frequently. 😉

I am crazy about bags. Since I am a SAHM, I don’t get to wear nice clothes. So I get myself a branded bag to make myself happy. That is my accessory.

Last expensive purchase was in Jan…$400 Gucci bag, marked down from $800. Very contended.
