No worries, yamatomato. It's my pleasure to help. If e student scored A1 in the 3rd lang, then it'll be included in the MSG calculation, otherwise, it'll not be inclusive in the MSG. So at least it's not so stressful for the boys. But prior to the 3rd lang EOY exam, e boys hv to opt whether to include the 3rd lang results in the overall msg.

Exemption is only for the EOY exams, if there are some test in T4, the student still hv to take. 2 yrs ago, there's no test in T4 but last yr there were some changes & some subjects like chinese do hv T4 test. In this case, they will take the 30% from T1-T4.

Oh i miss out sthg on the exemption, besides the results, the oral participation for the subject must oso be A1. So if u hit A1 both written & oral then u'r exempted, no case by case basis.

Yes, there r boys with perfect msg n was exempted for the EOY exam especially in sec 1 which is much easier to achieve.

CF is chinese, not sure wat it stand for exactly.[/quote]
Wow then thats a bit tough...for written to score A1 not very difficult, but to score A1 in oral.... :slapshead: CF stands for Chinese as First language

        Hi Pinky88,
Refer to your comments above on the 3rd lang MSG. You mentioned that only if the student scored A1 in the 3rd lang, then it will be included (that I understand the computation will hence be total score divided by 7 subject?). Then what is this option to include 3rd lang in the MSG? Are you saying that if prior to the EOY exam, if one is to indicate to include 3rd lang but if results end up to be worse off then A1, then it will not be included. And conversely, if it is not to be included but ended up with an A1, it will automatically be included. I am confused.

        Thanks again

The option to include 3rd lang is only for the EOY exam, so u only opt for it to be included if u r v confident that u'll do well & oso ur T1-T3 3rd lang results must b gd too, otherwise it's gonna pull down ur overall msg. Once u opt to include, it will be added to ur yr end msg regardless of ur score. In another words, it's a gamble. Hope this clears ur doubt.

                    Hi all,

There seems to be 2 versions of portal - one is the i-Comp (which says sec 2-4 only in its link) and another the ISP (Intelligent School Portal). I am only able to login the ISP; my child is in sec 1 this year.

However, I don't seems to be able to see his test results in the portal so far. Going to Profile Home->Exam results shows an empty list.

Anyone been able to see the child progress on this ISP so far?

But I can't explain why there are so many portals which may be overlapping.

                      Hope it helps.
