I am doing without a full time maid now and am also looking for a part time maid for once a week cleaning, ironing clothes (3-4 hours). I live in the north. Any recommendations.

I heard those cheap cheap one like very dangerous lo. Very high chance illegal ones. I rather pay more for legal ones.

yes generally that. Also cleaning fan, windows when once a month. There are some variances between agencies. You can discuss your requirements with them before engaging. e.g. I want them to clear my balcony of dried/fallen leaves and water the plants, wash some pots and pans.

I called Glory and Raffles services and they didn't call back. So I googled some more and found E Marketing & house services. You can go to their website housecleanerssingapore.com

A bit more expensive. I am paying $20.5/h flat. It is more expensive but I insisted on a singaporean and they sent me one. She is very good leh. Independent, and experienced. Not need for me to supervise. Tall and beautiful somemore. 55 years old got driving license. Not like an auntie at all.

What I like about this arrangement not to pay commission or one time admin fee is that I can then try them out and if not suitable move to another service provider. They charge in advance $328 for 4 sessions. If you want to renew then you pay for the next 4 session. If not, just move on.

Today is my first session. I will update about my singaporean beauty again.

ha ha very satisfied. Left her to work independently and she did a good job. Very experienced. Didn't have to clean up after her or do damage control. I had peace of mind.
