I still soften the food for my DS2 although he is coming 19 months as he is still not good at swallowing solid food. He'll suck, suck, suck... until the meat or vege is tasteless then take it out and play with it. :slapshead: So I put whatever I want like potato, fish, broccoli, egg, etc etc and mash it up.

puff ! dont give up, she will get it soon… as they need time to get used to not pee directly… DS who is now coming to 25 mths old, he sometimes too engrossed in his play, he cant make it to toilet, will pee on the way to toilet… last week, pee out after nap, cant make it to toilet, so i keep talking to him abt this, when feel need to go, must quickly go, dun hold till cant make it in time… i feel DS is in terrible two stage … always refuse to follow instructions and need lots of cuddling to sooth his temper. sigh… headache

My friend bought training pant for her son, quite useful according to her. Maybe will try to buy when I start to potty train my dd2 when she is around 20 mo.

                      My experience in potty training.

I’ll wear pull-up pants for my elder kids when they were young, around 18 months. Every 45 min I’ll sit him or her on the toilet bowl (with the training seat on) and ask to ‘Sh-Sh’. If the pull-ups are wet, I’ll ignore it (I think if I were to nag that they should pee in the toilet instead, they may deliberately pee in their pants to get my attention) as that is not an issue. I’ll be very "drama" in my praise if he or she managed to pass urine in the toilet bowl. From then on, I’ll make the effort to put the child on the toilet bowl in public toilets during regular breaks even with the pull-up pants on. Usually, it takes about less than 3 weeks to get my child toilet trained in the day. Once they are dry at home, I’ll daringly not wear diapers when we go out and emphasize the need to inform me before hand if they want to go toilet. So far it works for my family.
