Hi blessed777!smartmummy:
My son has one hr play time everyday.but he need compulsory compter time otherwise he can't motivate to study. What to do?He cannot missed the computer hrs.He can miss the study hrs.He always thinking the quantity.I feel his quality study not enough. The timing is very difficult.3-4 study 4-5 computer 5-6 study 6-7 playground.I need to fetch my DD from school at 4pm.so I let him to see computer.otherwise he playing with fire.I just scared to let him alone without computer. In the one hr he just finish 5 pages faster and go away. Then I mark it.Then 5 I asked him to correct. Then the time run fast or he does slow. His playground time reach. Then he go to playground. His friend goes to playground at 6.I just feel cannot Teach properly.
1hr to play computer is too much, try to break down into 15mnts x 4. If he can't concentrate on his study for 1hr make it 45minutes but add the frequency, every 45minutes of study give a 15minutes break to play computer.
sorry for the late reply.
thank you for ur suggestion.
Its worked for me.I completely remove computer hrs in week days.
I gave 15mins break every 45mins.In the 15 mins he watched videos in iphone. Then come come back to study.only weekends I gave computer time.I remove all fb games. So he has no urgent to see games.I allo him for other internet games.but thatone also I found no useful at all. -
Aiyah, canvas... those pple are just jealous lah... I get the \"so good life\" comment from pple all the time (even from my MIL) even though I have no domestic help and work part-time. And the full-timers at where I work call the part-timers \"housewives with no commitment\"...
Just be proud of it. Not everyone can afford to be a SAHM.
We contribute in our own right and just make sure your DH knows it. -

I am new here. There are so many clubs in Kiasu Parents, not sure which one to join.
But I guess I will start off here as I am SAHM with 3 children. -

Oppsgal,
I know of one SAHM who will start cleaning the house vigorously when the husband is about to come home so he sees her hard at work…
Canvas, cherry gal,
Agree that sometimes it’s jealousy and guilt. If they keep needling at you, why not stick the knife back in and agree that life is indeed good because you can spend so much more time with your children. Or that your dh is so sweet he doesn’t mind the reduced income because family life is more impt.
I am a wahm and though it does get tiring sometimes, I do feel am very fortunate to have this option.
