HDB is building more studio apartments for senior citizens, right ?

Honestly, it’s very hard to stay with in-laws…they have their way of doing things and same goes for us.
I would definitely choose my parents over hubby’s parents anytime. Reason is simple, my parents are the ones who care and love my kids more than his.

        LOLMum:
he should give us a list of MIW who live with their parents or in laws (in the same house). cannot be same block different units since he said \"All families want to live with their parents.\" \"live with\" and not \"near to\".

even lky is not living with his married kids.
He is not living with his married kids...it was once mentioned that his 2nd son (LHY) stays a few doors away from his wife's family.

            Hi shine_fs,

            :hi5:

My kids love their maternal grandparents and remember their birthdays without me having to remind them.

My DS only gets reminded of his paternal grandparents when they give him expired biscuits at dinner once in a blue moon, oh yes, not forgeting. The CNY dramas.. ..They don't care about DS and definitely not hiding their feelings. DS is fine with all the love from his maternal grandparents... 😄

Those paternal grandparents don't even care about my son...still have the cheek to call themselves grandparents. There was one year his birthday happened to be on 1st day of CNY. She told hubby she dare not give red packet for birthday bcos she was afraid eldest DIL will be jealous. Whole lot of crap. I know my SIL is not that money faced.

huh, if truly afriad of eldest dil, still can give quietly right?

dont want to give, dont give lah and should not say anything at all. why need to bring up the topic and give silly excuses. sounds like trying to make trouble between eldest dil and you.

could have say the same thing to your eldest sil. :slapshead:

Aiyah, she has loads of excuses lah...she is paternal grandmother and yet never done anything...but wants to be remembered that she is of upper status. yes you are so right, she always creates trouble and misunderstanding between my SIL and I.

Does MIL job is to create some excitement btwn her children n the extended family? I saw that wat my mil doing is nt uncommon. Is it kind of some entertainment to watch for them? When their words create conflict btwn her children they will put the blame on their Dil…haiz…

Oh, mine here loves to create entertainment, not between children but between daughters-in-law...carrying tales to create misunderstanding. I've had enough of those days. Fortunately hubby knows I'm not a trouble-creator...and stay arms length from his mother.
