When my son finishes his PSLE, i will need to go through all his science assessment books from P3 to P6. Bcos my daughter will be in P3 next year. so I need to buy suitable ones when she has to learn diversity, systems, cycles etc.

There are so many titles avail now…it’s going to be tougher now.

For upper block, my boy is using several titles…have to learn new stuff and also revise lower block to make sure he still remembers.

PS: when I have duplicate copies and cannot exchange, also give to friends quietly. Cannot let hubby know.

Hmmm..... Quite interesting to know about the duplicate buying of books. It shows how anxious we are.

PS: Also shows we did not flip thro' the books enough after we bought πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Women are excited when they see a good bargain. So when we know the prices of certain stuff and there is a mark-down else where, we cannot resist. That's how duplicate assessment books come about. Strangely I have not bought duplicate shirts. :?

True true. I really love this site. Parents are openly sharing their experiences.

A friend introduced me to Casco bookshop at Towner Rd...although I don't quite fancy Casco titles, still couldn't resist taking a look

In the end, I bought several P3 English titles and a P3-6 PSLE Science for son.

Duplicates means the book must be real good to attract your attention for the end time. πŸ™‚

I do find that the English titles are quite ok. πŸ˜‰

DD received a 30% voucher for use at Towner with deadline last Feb. As we don't drive and find that it'd be a hassle to go there for just Casco publications only, we put it aside for when we figured we may get to use daddie's car to go there or perhaps if we were going to visit frenz or relatives near there...

But we seemed to have totally forgotten abt it.

I have not bought CASCO assessment for english so far. I did buy the casco picture compo assessment book for chinese for P1 and P2. Was good for my DD as it has a sample compo and key words given for each topic.

But someone did tell me that CASCO science Q&A book for P3/P4/P5/P6 is quite informative (has detailed explanations). Any parent want to share their experience about this book?
Any other CASCO book worth buying for other subjects English/Maths/Mandarin?
