Any hotel recommendation for family of 5 (2A and 3C - 7,8 and 10). Note that most hotels only allow max 4 for family room. Do they charge the extra person even for a child? I’m looking for hotel near XMD or Taipei main station. Thanks a lot.

Try TripAdvisor. I stayed two nights at \"new intercontinental\", about 10min walk to Main Station (take note Main station is hugh, and one end to the other can take 15min).

Meanwhile, as long as u have more than 2 kids, 99% got surcharge.
Some hotels will even insist u book two rooms (which is crazy!).

We stayed Purple Garden near TMS but my kids were 3,6&9. No charge for 3rd child. I did a review in TA for this hotel. Location is relatively good, away from the busy streets/crowds yet near Mrt station and walkable to many eateries.

I am planning a trip to Taiwan in May for 2A + 2C free and easy. Here’s our itinerary


1. Touch down, National Museum etc.
2. BabyBoss
3. Travel and stay LeoFoo Village Theme Park (as recommended by sengkangbabies)
4. Travel and stay Flying Cow Ranch
5. Travel back to Taipei, activities?
6. Fly back SG

I need help with a couple of questions. TIA!

1. Modes of transportation between Taipei and LeoFoo Village?
2. Modes of transportation between LeoFoo Village and Flying Cow Ranch
3. If we plan to take Taiwan High Speed Rail, the 3 days THSR pass is $110, do I need to purchase the pass for kids ages 3 and 5?
4. Any comments on Caesar Park Hotel @Taipei?
5. What do the parents do when kids are at BabyBoss?

How old are your kids? How about Taipei Zoo? It is big and admission is cheap. After the zoo, you can take the maokong gondola which is just beside. Have a cup of Chinese tea and enjoy the scenery.

2. Xin Beitou (hot springs) + Danshui
3. Bitan + Wulai

For children, they go by either age or height. My son doesn't need to pay but when we took the train to Hualien, I bought him a ticket too as the journey was 2hrs+. I stayed in Caesar Park Hotel @ Taipei during CNY with my 2 kids.
The rooms are pretty new and the location is good..:)

Just Sleep hotel at Ximending is not bad. Stayed there last Dec. It is just across Ximending shopping area. Rooms are are new and clean but breakfast so-so.
