I paid about $200 per nite for 4 of us in a double bed room (2 queen sizes bed), but thats the rate for CNY day 1 to 4. Thus, I do not know whats the current rate. There are lots of shops below and no difficulties looking for food. The mrt is also right below too.

We only visited Bitan as my daughter was running a fever on that day. It's more like a local attraction as we saw many renting the paddle boats. If you like hot springs, I read in TA that Wulai offers cheaper alternative as compare to YMS and Xin Beitou.

Again, we didn't have a chance to visit Yingge and Sanxia old street because of the wet weather. But we'll be going again this Nov.

My gf recommends this place for farmstay in Taoyuan - 綠光森林富野綿羊牧場 (http://www.furano.com.tw/). I've not stayed there before so can't comment.

I will travel to Taipei with my husband and 2 kids (2, 6 years old) for 10 days, in end april to early May. Not yet book any hotel, still planning on the itnerary. Is it better to stay in service apartment than in hotel in taipei? Any experience to share? Any recommendation? Thanks much in advance!

You will find food option aplenty. And there are laundry places in cities. So you really do not need service appartment, which is limited in Taiwan.
We stay in B&B or \"local hotel\" privately operated and car mortels. Great experience. You can check out my blog for my 14-day round the island trip.

For Leofoo Resort 六福莊, do we choose the Sky or Greenery room to view the giraffes and rhinos? Does the resort hv buffet-style dinner? How much is taxi from Lefoo to Taoyuan international airport? Pls advise. Thanks.

Any recommendations for hotels in Taipei? I am planning our trip in Sept for 2 adults and 2 children, 4 and 6 yrs old.

                        hi,

You may want to try to rent an apt or stay @ one of the Roumei hotels…their rooms are quite spacious. Staffs are friendly too.

I would not recommend Tango hotels although their location is good and is really nice…but the rooms are much smaller

If you are F&E, you may want to engage a driver like what I did. And he can help you to plan your journey including hotel stays. So its like personalized package tour
