No I still think cases like these are more the exception than the norm. I have uncles, bros, cousins, hubby n classmates who have gone thru NS and they completed their stint uneventually. If anything I find them more manly after NS. Hopefully the NS period can be further shortened to 1 yr instead of 2 when it’s my boys turn. I am ok with them doing their national service. I trust the sons of this country to defend and protect us more than anyone else.

Yealor. They should shorten NS to half a year, then recruit in new people every half a year.

The first month should be orientation then after that the proper work should kick in.

The third month should be going overseas to places like Taiwan

Thereafter, the last month should be just relaxing

definitely! Still they have to serve NS. It’s our responsibility to protect Singapore.

We are living in times of peace, all the more we must train and be vigilant. Definitely wouldn’t want to be unprepared.

I always train my boys and educate them to be careful. If pain, stop. Dont force.
