Melodies:

I think most PRs will be push to phase 3 instead of having chance of balloting in phrase 2B/3C for popular school.
in short, fellow SG citizens (SC) compete amongst ourselves first, based on distance.
Less than 1 km enter first, followed by less than 2 km, lastly greater than 2km then can enter.

likewise, PRs has to queue behind after the very last SG citizen child has entered successfully.
PRs then compete amongst themselves, based on distance.

Prs will end up in neighbourhood schs. Assuming if most of them r hands on parents, they will help push up the standards of neighbourhood schs. Jmho.
That is a win-win situation in the eye of MOE!

          Good for neighborhood schools.

A popular branded school I know of proudly announced 100% a1 pass in chinese literature. Turned out only 5 students sat for this papers. Yes, you got it right, they were from you know which country.

So what’s going to happen to those PR which has done PV - they will be losing out in P2B this year registration. Already contribute but upside advantage is suddenly taken away after the 40 hrs PV. Hey, this announcement is like … ??? Mmmm… not at level playing field.

The news came really timing for my 1st gal’s P1 registration this year. It took the govt too long to put this into reality. I too wonder what’s gonna happen to PRs who did / performing PV at the moment…

Is this just the beginning of the revamp, or is there more to come?

slowly but surely, more changes should come. afterall, singaporeans have shown unhappiness over the last election(s), and there is going to be by-election coming up soon, so this policy is pretty strategic 😛

Anybody knows? , maybe an estimate of what’s the proportion of SC to PR for typical P1 registration, neighbourhood to branded school.

I really have not idea what the PR student population in our schools.

                      Do we have an estimate?

Hooray!!! It was a super great news for all of us who are true blue Singaporeans!!!

But would also like to know if there is a significant no. of PRs applying? And are they still qualified for registration under Phase 2B?
