I tried it at office today and I got it, tks! Don't know if it's due to website maintenance or what, I assessed it at night from home and the connection was also very slow. A/W, can only get it under the student's log in, because under parents' log-in, under the heading \"2012 CL 2A Tingxie\", cannot click in, can only check status, it does not lead to a folder with PDF files. -
Seems like the HDMD situation in my ds class is getting from bad to worse! As of today, 11 boys are on mc with 2 additional cases at the end of school day. The boys are not allowed to canteen during recess, the teachers will buy food and bring it up them. Feels that the school should be updating us with first hand information about the updates rather than we parents share info to find our what’s going on, and if need be get the class boys to stay away for this week at least. From 5 absentees (on mon) to 11 absentees today and probably more tomorrow, the teachers will probably not be able to execute their curriculum effectively too.

May I know which class is this? Just want to know whether if it is the same class as my DS? Can PM the class if it is not convenience to post it here. Thanks. -

PM you liao, bigfoot. But for all we know, we may be talking of different classes altogether. Relax, folks. Depending on the strain, it could be quite mild esp. for older kids. My ds2 got it last year at 3yrs+ he recovered pretty well, although ds1 (P1 at the time) slept in a different room, we are all in the same house and also ended up playing together sometimes. It was the school holidays then so ds1 was at home, his only complaint was sore throat not sure caught it or not. U/stand the younger the child is, the more serious.Vanilla:

Thanks for the info. Yes, I am more concern about my younger son who is 4 years old. My DS1 had it before when he was younger. It's always good to prevent it from happening if we can help it.

My sentiments exactly Bigfoot. Prevention is better than cure. Sad to say this situation could hv been aggravated because many don't know what's happening. The number of kids that got infected climbed steadily within these few days, am sure there will be more coming up. God bless all kids affected and hope the boys recover soon.

My DS came down with the fever and cough etc. I am treating him as a HFMD suspect case coz the ulcers come 2 days after the onset of fever. I have a toddler at home so I have isolated them in different houses (toddler and I will stay with my parents for 2 days just to make sure). Call me kiasu…
Wow 11 cases… that’s almost a third of the class. This is terrible, worse than childcare. -

Cherrygal you did the right thing, not kiasu at all. I am in the same predicament. I isolated my toddler fm ds1 when he came back on mon telling me many boys fm his class are on mc n some had HFMD. Tue My ds had fever, and today multiple ulcers appeared in the mouth. I also noticed a few spots on his fingers. It's confirm HFMD. I am glad I separated my boys because my ds2 got it last yr n was hospitalized for a week. It's exceptionally tough on both the young one n us parents. One ds got it it's bad enough already. My DS came down with the fever and cough etc. I am treating him as a HFMD suspect case coz the ulcers come 2 days after the onset of fever. My boy said that there were 16 absentees yesterday, apparently a few more were called home after they went to GO for further chkg.
Dunno true or not but that’s almost half the class!! Packed assessment book for him to do in case the teachers decided not to teach cos too many absentees.
Really really hope the cases will stop climbing!
