PSLE booklet 2

Augmum:
hi allkuzco:
My son's class (not sure whether the whole P6 cohort in his school or not) sat for a MOE test in English (I think) one or two days after the PSLE. I asked him what kind of test it was and he was not sure. There was no word from the teacher about it. I am just as puzzled as you guys are.

hi kuzco, yr son already taken the english test, what is the test abt? are all the components in the main paper being tested or just part of it?
just to update and answer to my query abt the moe english online test which i posted here few days back. (hmm.........i know it's an uninteresting topic to parents here as all the excitment had drawn to the GEP thread.......... wow.......judging from the overflowing inputs but i thot i shd update here since my gal had taken the test today).
dot told me that all the components of the english main paper was tested but the number of questions were reduced. total of 27 questions, allowable time was 45 minutes........and she said \"is easy\" ok.........that's all. -

Why do they do this? PSLE's over, for goodness sakes! But it doesn't seem to be at all schools? Curiouser and curiouser. -
hi turquoise
beats me…why they wanna do it…
from the response here, i also don’t think it is conducted at all schools. did yr gal do the test? -
Augmum:
Not that I'm aware of. They've just been having all sorts of excursions and fun activities. No mention of tests at all.hi turquoise

my girl did not take the test too. I think it was conducted randomly at selected school. Should not affect their PSLE
-
My DD also sit for the test today n only 45 min given…
-
turquoise, thks for yr reply. yes, the pupils have lots of fun after the psle, busy with excursion, such as visiting old folks’ home and rehearsing for thanksgiving day, chatting with friends and busy exchanging gifts. i think they couldn’t be bothered by the english test.
lovingmum and gsksp, thks for yr feedback. -
Hi everyone, my daughter said she took the online test yesterday for 45 mins. It was to test her school’s english standard according to her. Anyway, she thinks it has nothing to do with PSLE… at the end of the test was asked questions like do you like to do tests on line or on paper… maybe is a survey…
