My SIL gave me some problems earlier...in the past, I just swallowed it, and that allowed her to sit on my head. So now, I tell her off. Why should I be at her mercy ? I've enough. I stay many many arms length away from his family. -
Wah, I tell all of you good news. Now I’m very angry with and not friendly to my ILs already. Just basic addressing and exchange a few simple words. Instead of being fierce and sarcastic, they suddenly became so ‘nice’. Wanted to celebrate my B-day in some fancy resturant and gave a big red packet. First time in more than 10 years of marriage that I got the same angpow $$ as hubby and my kids. Previously just 20% of what they get! Plus last B-day dinner at hawker centre (chosen by them) with black faces was years ago!
Sometimes I don’t understand these people. When you are nice to them, they treat you like floor mat and say all kinds of untrue and hurtful things. They have to push until you can’t take it and about to completely stop talking to them, then for the sake of "face", they try to be nice. Really tired of this cycle. DH said to keep my distance. Once they think everything is ok, they’ll start all their nonsense again. -

This year CNY, the old one gave odd amount. I find it absurd bcos she should know odd number is inauspicious. Young people perhaps don't know, but I was shocked. She gave $20 all these years, so I was shocked she gave kids $5 each. Times are bad, i understand cut costs. But my hubby gives them monthly allowance and this year we had to buy food for first day of CNY as well, bcos she claimed she lost her wok and can't cook. :yikes: -
Janet as I mentioned, my ILs face very important. They will need others to think that they are wonderful people. So red packets sure will give but will purposely do things like tell me \"oh, I care and love for you the same as my children\" after that the red packet amount I'm the only one way lesser. DH and DC all celebrate their B-days and they claim they just remembered mine afterwards...my MIL is not someone who can't remember things and dates. You should see her record book!!! If it is forgotten, it is forgotten for a reason - they are trying to tell you that they don't like you. This year some more come and hug me!!! :yikes: Dh commented afterwards that it was so drama!!

Janet, my MIL everything also she must be the best. How can she be just Best Supporting Actress. She is aiming for best leading actress lah! :rotflmao:
Fancy walking towards me with arms all spread out from a few metres away and greeting me with \"warm\" well wishes!... I felt so awkward. FIL also all \"smiles\" when he saw me and call me so loudly! Usually I have to call him a few times before he answers as he will simply ignore me and exchange lukewarm greetings with DH and DC first. When he is done, then he just give a lukewarm to cold acknowledgement.
Things can't change overnight right? I'm not 5 years old. -

no lah, i think aiming for 猪（ 神）台. fann wong, zoe tay, chen li ping, chew chor meng already 升上了。
just watch your back. might have ulterior motive like ask your dh to be guarantor or do things on their behalf but when things go bad, it is not on them. -

Just drama once and she wants BEST ACTRESS ? No way lah. Be careful...she may be up to something for being so expressive in front of your hubby. People may be mistaken the old lady loves you so much. :rotflmao: If mine here ever does that, I will tell hubby to hug her instead. Don't give me that nonsense. -
Mine has been hugging me and kissing my forehead each time we meet and part ways of late. :sick: Thankfully it's not often that we have to meet up.
Those who have seen her doing it to me before will say i very bad. Cos she hugging me so passionately, my arms just lithely still parked at the side of my body. No response wan. Dun tell me i must passionately hug her back and kiss her too?
