You are so welcome to express freely your opinions. In fact, I also agree SGns are to be considered first here, it's rather a much better thing to see every Singaporean feeling happy than frustrated. But please do think twice before you want to qualify other ppl who may have different thinking than yours.
Btw, about rats, I don't have any raised home but I can confirm you that they are creatures most of time more intelligent than other animals of the same size, or classified as the same biological family. For cockroach, since I don't have seen any of them at my home, though they did give me bad impression through other channels, I apologize for having misunderstood your purpose. Now through your clarifications I think I can share your point of view, and I'm rather happy to join you in appreciating the qualities, such as resilience, this small nature has. Hopefully we will all learn something from them.

Kicking out PR from balloting may have very little help to relieve SG-rean's frustration on P1 registration if it's not to increase. I am really looking forward to the results of P1 registration this year. As a matter of effects, PRs, especially we PRC PRs taking their kids' education as one of their highest priorities in their life (guess it's kinda nature for Chinese parents all over the world), will be deeply hurt in terms of the confidence to live or eventually integrate as a SC, no matter they are real talent or not.

When SG-reans are accusing PRs using SG as a step stone, have you ever wondered why? Why does SG govt have to use your tax to pay higher salary to hire PRs? Why don't just invest the money to better education and make SG-reans more talent?
Think twice about the reason why so many SG kids are excluded from those branded primarys.
Think twice why those schools are so popular.
Think twice why SG kids have to suffer from the rigorous primary education.
IMHO, the policy is rather a politic move than something improving SG education system.

I shall give u examples why we are ganing:

1 Use him as an example why our country is a preferred place of residence for vip talents.
2. Opp for him to park some of his wealth in our banking system.His family will be here for many more yrs thus creating spill over effect and room for creating jobs.
3.His family will be here for many more yrs so Singpore has alot of opportunities for him to express his views on critical areas pertaining to our focus in positioning our state as a regional financial power hse.
4. On personal financial investment, we can also hve more opportunities for him to express his views on products such as stocks, currency and commodities. To hve an annual luch date with Warren Buffet, one needs to put in a bid of more than S$300,000.
5. It creates opportunities to add financial knowhow to staff and parents of nyp who get to meet him. Hence ther's a knowledge transfer for those fortunate ones.
6. It puts our tiny nation on the world map and allow us to punch above our weight.
7. Its a blessings to our nation as such can expect more blessings to come.

All in all, no loss but alot to gain otherwise his place may be filled by a lesser talent.
