My DD has been telling me there has been exchanging of stationeries in class.

Its like ‘I give u stickers, then u give me eraser’, I give you colour paper and you give me mechnical pencil’ …

Is this the trend in school now?

My DD is in P3 too. I think charity, devotion and grace are the top 3 classes. the girls are separated for the MT classes becos some do the higher level chinese, some normal and some on the foundation chinese.

ask your girl to ask the teacher to explain the division concept again, shd be fine.

Devotion and Charity are the high abilities class, while Grace & Joy are the mixed. The girls are separted for chinese class, like what En-joy mentioned, those who are doing 'higher chinese' learns more words/harder words for ting xie/more indept studies of the language outside of the textbook. However, at this stage, the girls are not considered taking 'higher chinese' as that only comes in P4 or 5. They are also told that in order to stay on in this class, they have to maintain all band 1 for all subjects....most of the girls strives to stay in this class because they get to stay in their original classrooms instead of having to climb up and down the stairs, to go for chinese in another room :roll: their motivation is a little strange hahaha

Hi P1 Mummies, how is the quality of teachers in various classes, I heard some P1 teachers in other schools actually send updates via sms or emails to parents. How do parents get regular update of their children’s progress? Any inspiring or caring teachers in P1? TIA.
