      Hi,

I’m considering these schools for my girl (2007) :

      - AiTong (<1km, not-so-direct route)
      - AMK (<1km, direct route-can walk there)
      - Mayflower (1-2km, can get in under P2A(2))

Can anyone advise which is better? Anyone with direct experiences with these schools can give any comments?

Is studying in AT very stressful?

      Thanks.

Any ideas about these schools that one map has shown to be within 2km of me?

        Henry Park
        Nan Hua
        Pei Tong
        Clementi
        Fairfield

Henry Park is the closest but I guess by far the most popular. A friend said Nan Hua is a chinese focus school is it very popular for PRC PR’s? No idea about the other schools.

        thanks.

          Hi,

I intent to enrol my daughter in MGS but with recent rule for P1 registration process what are the chances of getting the seat. We are SPR and prior to registration process intend to move closer to MGS.

          Does any one can reply.

If ur child is a Singaporean and stay within 1km, she will have a chance to ballot with other gals...

It will depends on the number of vacancy and the number of SC living within 1km applying during that phrase.

refer MGS past years P1 registration trend

                http://www.mgs.sch.edu.sg/documents/0000/2329/Phase_2C_-_2011.pdf

MGS is excellent, very hot popular school. With PR \"out of the picture\", i believe MGS this year hotly contested by many SC < 1km, phase 2C. Every year within less than 1 km, competition very intense ! In the past, many Parents nervous 😓 once enter balloting less than 1 km.

MGS is one rare Top primary schools, 2011 psle.
Academics apart, it is also a very good character building school, producing all rounders in our girls.

as you are a PR, you have to wait until the very last SC girl under > 2km has entered MGS successfully, before the First PR child in the queue has her turn. I suggest you explore other alternative back up school(s) on standby.

Not quite. Since vasu3906 is PR, his chances depend on the total number of SC applying, regardless of distance.

Considering MGS is a much sought after school, I would say his chances is slim even if he is staying within 1km.

you can visit the respective school website.

most schools post their past years \"P1 Registration\" balloting breakdown information.
