it is just a picture of pot a toe, not a pot of toe
but they say RI is a kangtang school, so must have lots of pot a toe :rotflmao: -
Picolo:
:stompfeet: Not fair! I can't enter notti corner! How to catch a glimpse of the potato again?
Ooops......I didn't realise it was actually removed  ! I initially thot VKS2010 mean we \"move\" his potato upside down to \"view\".Pen88n:

这是我们大人的错,potato 是无孤的!Why removed it?
Thot VK2010 deleted the picture himself coz he felt Pai-sey that we made fun of it.. WA, so class monitor can delete any pics/posts by forumers (if he deems it to be inappropriate), without even informing the contributor?
Maybe the potato was from VK's garden.. He might have planted it specially for his 'Jane'.. So whatever angles or directions we view it, it is still a 爱心potato lah!
VKS2010, maybe you should look for your potato in the notti corner :siam: . Some mods may be guiding it there, and waiting for you to show up to claim :nunchuk:
无孤 = 无辜?
Hi Picolo, thanks for the correction.. I had the feeling that I had used the wrong word (again) as it just didn't look right, but I simply couldn't recall the correct word.
BTW, I also do not have access to notti corner? Can request VKS2010 to pull strings for us to qualify for membership? -

If you are keying in Chinese characters using Hanyu Pinyin, you can try to key by phrases to minimise wrong character output, ie. for 无辜, instead of keying 'wu' then press enter, followed by the next word 'gu' then enter, you can key 'wugu' at one go and choose the right phrase. What you get will be the choices of all the common 'wugu' such as 无辜/ 无故/物故. It will be easier to pick the right one.

Thot today is a 难得的机会 for DS to sleep a little longer in the morning, but DS woke up quite early, as he (and his group of ex-primary sch cum RI friends) planned to go back to their primary school to visit their teachers.. In fact, they always do that, whenever they have some free time, even on normal school days.. Glad that the boys 饮水思源,but time and distance must permit that too..

JToh, u super good lei! How can u tell that VKS2010's loving potato is \"telfon-coated\" when I super lousy at spotting that from the picture? Seems like same as ordinary kan-tang except its shape!

Saw this posting in yahoo news on Singapore scholarships for foreign students, looks like by a Rafflesian.
I'm a 20 year old Singaporean waiting to go into Uni this year, from a JC in the central area of Singapore. Being from the GEP and scoring 3 H1 As, 4 H2 As, 1 H3 Distinction and a SAT I percentile of 99+, I consider myself within the top 0.5% of Singapore. I am not trying to boast here - there are at least a hundred other people with similar grades from my JC batch, and probably another hundred from the JC in Bukit Timah. Yet, not everyone manages to get scholarships.
We can definitely bring more to the table than these third-rate China scholars - everyone knows that the first-and-second-rate ones stay in China. Many, if not most, scholars in my school cannot compete with the real top Singaporeans. In my experience, Chinese scholars never attend CCAs, contribute minimally in group work, skip lectures/tutorials and specialise in only one subject area. ASEAN scholars are similar, but generally perform even poorer than the Chinese scholars. On the other hand, top Singaporean students are generally all-rounded, including having excellent CCA records.
If scholarships have to be awarded, they should go to us true-blue top Singaporean students and not foreigners. At least, we will stay in Singapore as it is our home. Too often the government focuses on foreigners and ends up neglecting locals, potentially resulting in brain drain.
Oh, and we mustn't forget that these foreign \"scholars\" are actually 1-2 years older. But if it was a Singaporean in this position, he would be termed a \"retainee\", not a \"scholar\". Age definitely plays a big role in studies, as evidenced by the requirement for GEP: Students must either be of the correct age or younger.1 Reply
I know some schools take in as many as 2 classes of foreign scholars each year and some are doing this annually for more than 10 years.
Anyone knows how may classes of foreign scholars RI takes in each year?
