does anyone know whether SNGS is really not going to have an open house this year?

Hi, you can always call the school and ask. But I doubt it will be held in the first half of the year, even if they do plan to hold one. Right now, they are tied up with moving back to the permanent campus, and it probably makes more sense for them to have the open house AFTER they've moved into the upgraded campus, as there will be more facilities to show parents and prospective students.

Can anyone advise if there's any SA or CA coming? Time- table for tests out already?

I just realised that my gal's chinese teacher never get the gals to do 作业。So far this term only 1 成语 worksheet n 私函 done。Is this a norm???

Heard that the gals have to self-study on 2 chapters of Geog which is going to b tested too. :nailbite:

My dd is in CHIJ OLQP and is not affiliated to CHIJ SNG, but since the schools are under the IJ family, thus, can anyone tell me will that be a higher chance for my dd to get into SNG?

Hi pchong,
Yr daughter's sch- OLQP is affiliated to CHIJ St Theresa Sch.
To get into St Nicks, she will need PSLE score of at least 249.
Unless she's from St Nicks Pri Section, she will be consider as non- affiliate student.
Next year, St Nick is also increasing COP:
-225( St Nicks Pri Sch)

No prob, pchong.
Recommendation fr sch...don't think so. Even St Nicks has to turn down appeals fr its affiliated Pri girls to go into Sec 1 as they didn't meet minimum COP.
But if yr child has a niche in certain CCA, get her to apply thr' DSA this May/June.

Yes, CA2 will be 8/5 according to calendar. But test scope isn't out yet. Shd be testing some Term 1 (topics not tested during CA1)and the bulk from Term 2. By studying these topics won't go wrong.

There is Chinese lesson daily. Chinese teacher gets class to finish most wksheets in sch. In fact, mine just had a Chinese Test yesterday n Lit Test today.

For my gal's class, Chinese teacher is very off the ball. Only 2 sheets of homework for this term :slapshead: She also just had her chinese test on fri. Dont think she can make it lor coz practically this term teacher nvr teach much or give much homework lor.

Looks like need to call school and chk if it is true that the gals have to self-study 1 - 2 chapter of geog. My gal say teacher says itz decision from the geog dept.
