For carrot cake lovers, Toa Payoh Lor 1 hawker centre has a carrot cake stall manned by 2 ladies is really nice and crispy. It is located near to one of the staircase corner stall. (Sorry i didn’t take note of the stall name)

Also next to the other staircase, is a fishball noodle stall - DH loves the fishballs very much.

        Yum

Wonder anyone likes Ang Ku Kueh / Soon Kueh ? The stall used to be opposite Lor 1 market has shifted to Blk 51 toa payoh. And at this coffeeshop, there are another 2 stalls worth patronizing - the Bah Chor Mee stall and a western food stall.

DH discovered it by chance. One plus point is that there is a big open carpark so parking is not an issue. πŸ˜„

Western food is it UNO? We love the bak chor mee, but the wait is horrendous...

The kong bak pau from Teochew Pau stall is not bad, especially for the health conscious. The pork doesn’t have fat. But I like the lotus pau. But I love charsiew pau from Tiong Bahru Pau the most.

As for carrot cake, it’s ok to eat once a while. A bit oily lah but really shiok.

Blk 124 Toa Payoh Lor 1 coffee shop - Hup Chong Hakka Yong Dou Foo is one of my favourite stall. Minimum 5 pieces, each about $0.40 / $0.50. Add noodles - $0.60. Yum ! πŸ˜„
