P1 Chinese - General Discussion

Some schools have recommended reading list. Does anyone have the recommended Chinese readers listing to share for P1 pls?

i am in a dilemma where to send my p5 and p6 kids for tuition. I have rounded to 2 choices - MOLIN at East Coast and Hua Cheng Language Centre at Simei Eastpoint.

Both of their schedules fit my kids and travelling is convenient as I stay in the East.

Please advise.

can anyone share any good Chinese enrichment class in Northeast area (Sengkang, Punggol, Hougang) ?
Anyone with Han Language or Zhengfei for Pri 1 ?
Can comment or feedback if they are good.

is ok if your girl can follow the syllabus because the difference between hcl and cl is not much at P1. But i do notice that berries assume your child knows hanyupinyin already if u join their P1 hcl class.

My daughter does HCL at Berries but not at school and she does say that it is much harder. She was at Berries from K2 so her Hanyu Pinyin was already not too bad when she started but, yes, they do assume that you have at least a basic understanding.

Anyone send your kids to Skylace Language school in toa payoh before?

Is their HYPY class for K2 good?

Agreed. My P1 girl is very bad in hanyu pinyin. She failed all her hanyu pinyin Chinese spelling & tests. Now not much hanyu pinyin & more chinese characters, her marks have improved. She still prefers Math & English than Chinese.

Have you try putting your kid on waiting list? Worth waiting if they are good. there is a Beijing, just opposite compass point.
